Hand Made Shoes keep Johnny on the Straight and Narrow

When a familiar face around New Farm, Johnny Celere, had a fall recently, the local community rallied around him.

Johnny suffered a stroke more than 21 years ago, and so the kindness of strangers and medical professionals recently provided welcome relief, as did the new pair of hand made shoes, which he said had changed his life.

After a couple of falls while out and about and several more at home, Johhny was assisted by local GP Dr Leon Kondos.

He then spent several days in hospital where he was told of specially made shoes that would provide him the stability he had been missing for more than two decades.

Johnny’s mother Antonina, cried when, wearing the shoes, he climbed the stairs of their home without his walking stick.

Johnny said he had so many people to thank including his mum and his girlfriend, Elaina.

He is also grateful to Ben and staff of Malouf chemist on Merthyr Rd, the RBH, Tony, Elizabeth and Perry from UBET New Farm, Michael Rochford of Osteopathy on James and Natalie from Blue Care.
